![]() ![]() Microsoft is struggling to get 3rd Parties to port their applications to ARM, as is Apple, but is well behind Apple in this effort. Similar to Apple's Rosetta Stone, Windows 11 on ARM can emulate x86 applications, and seems to do so seamlessly for the most part, but there are a few legacy apps that do not seem to work. ![]() I should measure the power draw some day. On the other hand, the Dell is physically about 32 times larger, and draws a hell of a lot more power. Overall, the performance of both seems about equal. ![]() The ARM processor has 8 cores, while the Xeon has 6 cores, but 12 hardware threads. Overall, it's interesting trying out Windows 11, and no serious complaints so far. However, after Setup, I was able to get the phone link working, and I am really impressed with the latest version of phone link, which integrates quite well with my Android device. in Computing Science cannot do it successfully, Microsoft screwed up here. Hard to explain why, but if someone with an MSc. The only negative experience was trying to link to my Android phone, which was not successful. On my 4K 34" Dell monitor the graphics were quite stunning.
